Founding of the Company

Korona S.A. a modern candle producer. The company is one of the biggest suppliers of private label products to the international firms. The private label candles account for 90% of the overall production.

Korona is one of the biggest manufacturers of scented candles in Europe. Korona was established in the middle of 1992. The company’s headquarter is located in Wieluń (Łódź voivodeship) – a city located near main communication routes (a road leading through the central Poland – Warszawa – Bełchatów – Wrocław (Breslau).

In April 2005 KORONA company was converted into a joint-stock company. The stockholders of the company are: TVV Treuhand und Vermoegensverwaltung GmbH (Hamburg-Germany) and Korona Verwaltung GmbH (Hamburg-Germany).

Employment

There are on average about 800 people employed directly in manufacturing (the number of employees depends on the season). The company operates in 3-shift system (seven days per week, 24 hours per day).

Modern Candles Manufacturer

Korona is one of the most modern candle manufacturers in the industry and equipped with up-to-date manufacturing equipment.

In 2007 has been finished the next development process of company by implementing new technologies, upgrading machines and equipment as well as enlarging the production facilities and the logistic center.

• Modern production lines - 80% of the machines have been bought within the last four years.
• The actual output amounts to 7 million pcs of candles a day.
• High-storage warehouse for finished products - the company has over twenty thousand pallet  slots. The logistics center is fully automated.
  
• The company’s manufacturing plant occupies the area of more than 12 ha, 15 966 sqm of the whole area is covered by buildings – including production area of 8 446 sqm.
• The Laboratory, Quality Control and Product Development Departments could be treated as models for other companies in the industry. The staff of 30 high qualified professionals are employed there.
